三陽商会 announced that it will relocate and newly build its in-house Sanyo Sewing Aomori Factory in Towada. Operations at the new factory are scheduled to begin in the first half of fiscal 2028.
The company operates the Aomori Factory as a coat specialist alongside the Fukushima Factory, which specializes in suits and jackets. The Aomori Factory was established in Mito in 1969 and began operations in Towada in 1975.
The relocation and new construction will be carried out as part of the growth investments under the medium-term management plan, with the aim of improving product development capabilities and production efficiency, as well as improving the working environment and strengthening efforts to secure and develop personnel.
Its subsidiary サンヨーソーイング currently operates 2 factories, the coat-specialist Aomori Factory and the suit- and jacket-specialist Fukushima Factory. The relocation is expected to advance the integration and optimization of the 2 factories.
