A business plan contest for Saga Bank employees was held at the bank's head office, with 5 of the 77 applications proceeding through the document screening stage to presentations. The plans presented focused on promoting local industry and tourism.
Sagin Connect held a business plan contest at Saga Bank's head office as part of an initiative to create new businesses. Five employees of the bank took part, and only the 5 proposals that passed document screening from among the 77 applications were presented.
One of the plans involved matching unused equipment held by client companies with companies seeking to borrow it, putting the equipment to use. The proposal explained that this would convert dormant assets into opportunities for local companies to receive orders.
Other ideas included introducing a hot-spring tour pass linking Saga's tourist destinations and creating personnel and business partnerships connecting young people with local companies. All of the plans were intended to promote local industry and revitalize tourism.
Sagin Connect and the bank indicated that they plan to consider new businesses using these ideas as a source of inspiration.
