IIJ has added 10 Gbps support to IIJ Omnibus, its enterprise SD-WAN service. It began offering a new appliance equipped with 10GbE ports and an approximately 10 Gbps IPv6 IPoE connection using FLET’S Hikari Cross, enabling sites nationwide to be upgraded to higher speeds. The configuration can also be used in combination with SSE/SASE, including the detailed notification and deployment concepts.
IIJ added its in-house-developed SEIL appliance series CA10, equipped with 10GbE ports, to IIJ Omnibus, its enterprise SD-WAN service, and added support for site connections using an approximately 10 Gbps IPv6 IPoE connection over FLET’S Hikari Cross. This enables site networks to be deployed using access lines in the 10 Gbps class.
The new configuration emphasizes integrated management and control of site networks in combination with SSE or SASE. The aim is to increase speeds while reducing the operational burden of managing customer-side equipment. IIJ will also continue providing its Cloud Navigation Database to support operations, including automatic updates to communication destinations during local breakout.
IIJ said it will continue enhancing IIJ Omnibus to support the growing use of SASE/SSE. The new functionality is intended to increase bandwidth across site networks nationwide and enable flexible combinations in SASE/SSE configurations.
