EIZO announced the ColorEdge CG3200X, the first quantum-dot OLED monitor in the ColorEdge series. It is scheduled for release on 1 December at a direct sales price of ¥495,000.
The product uses a QD-OLED panel with a 31.5-inch display, equivalent to 32 inches, and 4K resolution (3,840 × 2,160 dots), and supports HDR display. Peak brightness is specified at 1,000 cd/m², brightness with a full-screen white image at 300 cd/m², and the contrast ratio at 1,500,000:1. The monitor is described as combining highlight detail with deep blacks.
A key feature is EIZO’s proprietary ABL control, which replaces conventional ABL control. It is designed to suppress sudden drops in brightness and improve the stability of HDR video display. The front indicator lights blue while ABL is active, allowing users to see its operation visually.
Functions designed to support display stability include “ABL Safe View,” which reduces the displayed image size to lower average brightness, a function for removing color fringing caused by the subpixel arrangement characteristic of QD-OLED panels, and panel protection features.
The monitor covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Video inputs support DisplayPort, USB Type-C, and HDMI. The direct sales price at the direct sales store is ¥495,000, and the release date is scheduled for 1 December.
