Japan Exchange Group has revised upward its net income forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to ¥105.0 billion, which is expected to set a new record high.
Japan Exchange Group has revised upward its net income forecast for the current fiscal year, projecting ¥105.0 billion and a new record high. This is an increase of 6.6% from the previous forecast of ¥98.5 billion. Net income is also expected to rise 32.6% from the previous fiscal year.
JPX's earnings forecasts are based on past trading activity, but trading fees for equities and futures fluctuate with market conditions. The forecast is customarily reviewed in September and the following March, which mark key points in the fiscal year, and this upward revision has been made to coincide with that timing.
This is the second review following the initial revision made on 28 July, the date of the first-quarter earnings announcement. JPX's continued earnings upside is being viewed as a reflection of vibrant market activity.
Although trading fees in the equity market and trends in futures trading affect earnings, another review may be conducted in September and the following March, when the fiscal year-end approaches.
