From 5 November, 7-Eleven will launch Satsumaimocchi with Banana Custard Filling at selected stores. On social media, many reactions compare its round green shape with a character from a famous theme park.
From this autumn, 7-Eleven will launch Satsumaimocchi with Banana Custard Filling at selected stores nationwide. The product is priced at ¥300.24 including tax and will be sold in Hokkaido, Nagano, Hokuriku, Gifu, Aichi, Mie, Kinki, Chugoku, Shikoku, Kyushu and Okinawa.
Presented as a cup deli combining chewy dough in a clear cup with banana custard, the product comes in 4 green, round pieces with protrusions on top. Social media reactions include anticipation about its appearance and comments such as “I want to put faces on them.”
Satsumaimocchi was also launched at selected stores in August 2025. At that time, it reportedly consisted of yellow sweet-potato filling inside purple dough.
The official website indicates that the sales area is being expanded sequentially toward a nationwide rollout.
