The fully automatic COFFEE CRUSH coffee machine has arrived in Japan. With its smart design measuring approximately 15 cm wide, it will launch on 17 September, while a hands-on event at a Harajuku POP-UP will give visitors the chance to try the machine.
Making its debut in the Japanese market, the fully automatic COFFEE CRUSH coffee machine will be offered under the KRUPS by T-fal brand. It comes in 2 models, the Standard and the higher-end COFFEE CRUSH EXPERIENCE. Both support espresso, lungo and drip coffee, while the higher-end model also supports cold brew and milk-based drinks. The machine measures approximately 15 cm wide, 29 cm deep and 36 cm high. Operation is completed via a touch panel, and the machine automatically handles the process through extraction once the water tank and coffee beans have been loaded.
At the manufacturer's launch presentation, speakers discussed plans to expand the market in Japan and make the experience of brewing authentic coffee from beans at home more accessible. COFFEE CRUSH was introduced as one of the most compact machines available in Japan. The presentation featured the company president and a product manager, who highlighted the significance of enjoying freshly ground coffee at home.
Home café barista Tanachiru (タナチル) gave a demonstration and explained that the approximately 15-cm-wide machine fits into homes with limited space. A matcha espresso latte was also prepared, showcasing a new variation combining matcha with espresso.
