At Mazda's fan appreciation event, “MAZDA FAN FESTA 2026 at FUJI SPEEDWAY,” held at Fuji Speedway, multiple demonstration runs featuring the sound of rotary engines took place, showcasing historic rotary-powered cars including the MAZDA 787B.
Mazda held its fan appreciation event, “MAZDA FAN FESTA 2026 at FUJI SPEEDWAY,” at Fuji Speedway from 3 to 4 October. The event's concept was “a place to enjoy cars even more with our fans,” and experiential programs including the Media Endurance Roadster Race were held.
Multiple demonstration runs featuring historic rotary-powered cars, particularly the MAZDA 787B, took place, and the venue was filled with the sound of rotary engines.
In the first demonstration run, 3 787Bs, including car No. 18, lined up on the circuit, joined by the 767B and RX-792P, bringing out a large number of four-rotor cars. The 767B's rear cowl came off during the run, but after the car resumed, the demonstration continued for the full 15-minute slot, allowing spectators to enjoy the sound of the rotary engines.
A similar demonstration run centered on the 787B was held on the second day. The second run took place at 17:15, before sunset, and also featured a night run with the cars' lights on. Circuit safaris, parade runs, and qualifying for the Media Endurance Roadster Race were held between the demonstration runs, and the event unfolded with a wide range of attractions.
