Eli Lilly Japan launched Inluriyo tablets on 30 October, a new drug for unresectable, recurrent breast cancer that is hormone receptor-positive and HER2-negative, with an ESR1 gene mutation and progression after endocrine therapy. Once-daily dosing is expected to help suppress disease progression.
Eli Lilly Japan announced the launch of Inluriyo tablets, a new drug for unresectable, recurrent breast cancer that is hormone receptor-positive and HER2-negative, with an ESR1 gene mutation. The generic name is imlunestrant tosylate, administered at 400 mg once daily.
ESR1 mutations are considered a factor in treatment resistance in some cases, making them a treatment consideration. The drug binds to the estrogen receptor and promotes its degradation, thereby suppressing disease progression. The drug price has been reported as ¥27,551.80 per tablet.
