GVA TECH's legal automation platform OLGA has enhanced its AI-powered automated intake function and launched a new workflow that automatically identifies, collects and summarizes information missing from requests. This is expected to facilitate the transfer of information to legal departments and improve business speed.
GVA TECH announced a major update to the AI-powered automated intake function of its legal automation platform OLGA. The new function strengthens a process that identifies missing information when business divisions submit requests to legal departments and conducts automated intake through a chat interface.
With the new function, AI analyzes the request text and attached files, automatically determines what information is missing and enters it into the request form. The collected information is summarized and organized by AI before being transferred to the legal department, speeding up the initial response to contract reviews and legal consultations.
The chat screen is automatically generated in a format that makes it easy for respondents to answer. It is limited to approximately 5 questions per turn and a maximum of 2 turns, reducing the burden on respondents. Legal departments can adjust whether to turn the function on or off and the scope of supplemental or additional intake for each matter and team. The system is also designed to allow the process to be stopped partway through.
The effects of improved operational efficiency have also been reported following actual implementation. Examples include companies that have substantially reduced the time required to manage information in Excel and results showing a decline in the number of legal consultations. The function is said to have the potential to speed up decision-making in legal departments.
