ジャルパック has begun the full-scale rollout of “Activities JALPAK,” a new platform selling experiential content to international visitors to Japan. It will use the JAL Group’s network to promote local resources from across the country to a global audience.
Aiming to showcase local resources from across Japan to the world, ジャルパック is formally rolling out “Activities JALPAK,” a new platform selling experiences to international visitors to Japan. It has established a framework for discovering and promoting attractive local experiences through the JAL Group’s points of contact.
The new platform comes amid the expansion of the inbound tourism market and the challenge of avoiding excessive concentration in particular areas. By working with local governments and regional businesses, it aims to deliver high-quality experiences to a global audience. Experiences that are difficult to convey through conventional digital searches alone will be promoted through touchpoints including in-flight magazines and the JAL Group’s global network.
Planned listings include JAL factory tours, hammerhead shark diving experiences, visits to morning training sessions at sumo stables, and matcha and kimono-dressing experiences in traditional machiya townhouses. The platform also plans to expand packages combining accommodation and transportation, as well as tourism programs developed in cooperation with local governments.
Potential partners include regional content providers, media outlets targeting international visitors to Japan, and accommodation facilities. The designated contact is the Inbound Travel Division of ジャルパック.
