IKUYO disclosed a policy of making MURAKI a subsidiary through a tender offer. Through the acquisition of MURAKI, the two companies will work together to expand their product lineup, reduce procurement costs and pursue management integration. IKUYO currently owns 17.01% of MURAKI and aims to increase its ownership to 50.1% after the tender offer. The offer covers 486,300 shares, with a total value of approximately ¥1.458 billion, and no minimum number of shares to be purchased has been set.
The companies will also pursue initiatives to link MURAKI's sales network serving service stations with IKUYO's products and services in the EV and next-generation energy fields, including the use of service stations as charging and maintenance sites for commercial EVs. As of the announcement, MURAKI had not decided whether to accept the tender offer and said it would review the information before considering its response.
