TOPPAN, a subsidiary of TOPPAN Holdings, has joined the Rapidus CORE design ecosystem as a Design Solution Associate. It will provide support for cutting-edge 2nm-generation logic design and contribute to building a framework that smoothly connects design through manufacturing ahead of the start of mass production in 2027.
TOPPAN has joined Rapidus CORE, the global design and development ecosystem being built by Rapidus. As a Design Solution Associate, it will support the design of cutting-edge 2nm-generation logic semiconductors. Serving as a bridge between customers and Rapidus, it will help accelerate development by providing design resources and specialist expertise.
TOPPAN will establish a framework for comprehensive support covering design, circuit design, layout and physical verification, drawing on the LSI design technologies and expertise in EDA environment optimization it has developed over many years. It will apply advanced expertise in areas including low-power design, timing closure under PVT variation and high-speed interfaces.
The Rapidus CORE initiative aims to reduce the design difficulty and manufacturing risks associated with cutting-edge processes, strengthen design support capabilities toward the start of mass production in 2027, and contribute to addressing social issues. TOPPAN aims to deepen its collaboration and create value that will contribute to building semiconductor infrastructure for the AI era.
