シーラホールディングス has completed its business integration with クミカ and is working to control costs and strengthen earnings, with in-house production as the central focus. It aims to build a stable asset base by launching its battery storage business and expanding stable revenue.
In the first year after integration, sales exceeded ¥39.3 billion, operating profit exceeded ¥3.1 billion, and the operating margin was 8.1%, representing substantial growth in scale and profitability compared with the performance of former クミカ. Although there were departures associated with the integration, the contributions of the remaining members have translated into results.
By bringing operations in-house, the group eliminated outsourcing margins while material costs continued to rise, completing all processes, including design, construction and management, within the group. Steady improvements of 1% at a time reduced overall costs by approximately 10%, while the impact of rising material prices was contained to 3–4%.
With a policy of increasing the weighting of stable revenue, ARR is currently approximately ¥2.2 billion, while stable revenue accounts for approximately 48–49% of SG&A of ¥4.4–4.5 billion. Measures are under way to increase the weighting of stable revenue through rent revisions for owned assets and long-term electricity sales revenue from battery storage facilities constructed in-house.
The battery storage business is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of this fiscal year. Including 2 battery storage facilities and the hotel business, the ratio of stable revenue to SG&A is expected to exceed 60% toward the end of the fiscal year ending May 2027. The group plans to continue steadily expanding stable revenue and building up its asset base.
