A 24-member delegation of Taiwanese general contractors and developers visited オイレス工業. The delegation toured the TC Building, constructed in 1987, a base-isolated building using Japan's first lead-rubber bearing (LRB), and received an introduction to the history and applications of seismic isolation technology. The company also explained its plans for cooperation with Taiwan Matsuzawa Seismic Prevention Equipment Co., Ltd., which has established a local manufacturing structure, and for promoting adoption in preparation for future expansion in the Taiwanese market.
The delegation received explanations of the structure, number of installations and behaviour during earthquakes of オイレス工業's seismic isolation and vibration-control equipment, focusing on the TC Building, a base-isolated building using Japan's first lead-rubber bearing (LRB). Delegation members handled bearing products and reviewed examples of their use in the exhibition room, deepening their understanding of how the products work.
The company outlined a policy of expanding into the Taiwanese market the local manufacturing and sales structure of Taiwan Matsuzawa Seismic Prevention Equipment Co., Ltd., with which it has a distribution agreement in Japan. Going forward, it plans to promote adoption by combining product selection suited to low- and high-rise buildings with local production.
The delegation arrived in Japan on 29 September and returned to Taiwan on 4 October. Representatives from Taiwan expressed their appreciation for the spread of seismic isolation equipment and deeper understanding of the technology, and indicated their willingness to expand the framework for future cooperation. オイレス工業 reiterated its policy of strengthening cooperation with Taiwan Matsuzawa and promoting the adoption of seismic isolation and vibration-control technology locally.
Taiwanese media also covered the visit, with reports expected in print and online from Business Weekly and Mirror Media. This is expected to raise awareness of seismic isolation technology in the Taiwanese market.
