Apirits has revised upward its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending January 2027. While leaving its net sales forecast unchanged, the company has substantially raised forecasts for operating profit and other metrics, and expects the interim period to swing from a loss to a profit.
Apirits has revised upward its full-year earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending January 2027. While leaving its previous net sales forecast of ¥10.843 billion unchanged, the company raised its operating profit forecast from ¥228 million to ¥462 million, its ordinary profit forecast from ¥174 million to ¥424 million, and its net income forecast from ¥114 million to ¥217 million. Earnings per share (EPS) is now expected to improve from ¥28.28 to ¥53.80.
The upward revision reflects improved profitability in the first half. During the interim period, net sales are expected to remain in line with the plan, while the cost of sales is expected to come in below assumptions. Cost reductions in the Web Solutions business and cost optimization in the Oshi Culture & Games business are expected to drive gross profit substantially above plan. As a result, operating profit, ordinary profit and net income are all expected to swing from losses to profits.
While leaving its full-year net sales forecast unchanged, the company has also incorporated plans to make an additional total investment of ¥100 million in research and development during the second half to develop new services. The outlook is for the company to significantly exceed its full-year forecast while directing part of the profit generated by cost improvements toward developing new services.
The revision indicates progress on both improved profitability through cost reductions and optimization, and investment for growth. Attention is expected to focus on the factors behind the interim-period return to profitability and the progress of development investment in the second half.
