VLC Security Co., Ltd. announced that Okubo Shuichi (大久保 修一) was appointed Executive Vice President and Executive Officer effective 1 November 2026. Drawing on his career experience, he will be responsible for strengthening the sales organization and promoting the brand.
Since joining Trend Micro in 2001, Okubo (大久保) has built experience across endpoint, network and cloud security. He founded Idea Lab and served as its representative, contributing to the adoption of EDR, XDR and SOC services in Japan.
As the VLC Security Group, the company says it will support the development of Japan's cybersecurity industry through three business pillars under the mission of Go Beyond! Japan Cyber Security.
