Nomura Real Estate Holdings revised its full-year forecast upward on the strength of its domestic business. For the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027, Nomura Real Estate Holdings reported net sales of ¥378.4 billion, business profit of ¥50.9 billion and interim net income attributable to owners of the parent of ¥27.3 billion. Profit progress was expected to be approximately 30% of the plan. The company revised its full-year forecast upward after determining that profit would accumulate further in the second half of the fiscal year.
By segment, the housing and brokerage/CRE segments are expected to report higher profits, while some parts of the overseas segment are expected to post lower profits. Gross profit from residential development is expected to exceed the plan, supporting the second-half results. The property management segment is expected to see an increase in construction orders in the second half, although the revision reflects delays in overseas progress.
For shareholder returns, the company maintained its existing dividend policy for the fiscal year ending March 2027 and continued to expect 15 consecutive years of dividend increases. Against the backdrop of measures to address the interest-rate environment and growth in asset-light businesses, it is targeting a payout ratio of 40%–50% and expects to continue increasing shareholder returns in line with profit growth.
