TBS Holdings has partnered with ATS to establish a new structure based in London for format sales targeting the European market. The companies plan to jointly expand IP including SASUKE across Europe.
TBS Holdings announced that it had entered into a partnership with ATS, which has worked with the company for many years on the production of SASUKE/Ninja Warrior, and would establish a new format sales team for the European market in London. The initiative is part of the company’s overseas expansion following the establishment of bases in Los Angeles and Seoul, with the aim of strengthening format sales and business development for European broadcasters and streaming operators.
The new team will be based in London as the company’s European hub, using TBS’s format IP and ATS’s European operations to drive sales and development. ATS has bases in London, Manchester, Los Angeles and Lisbon, and will draw on its production network in the European market.
The two companies plan to share their creative, production and sales expertise as “One Team” and pursue format sales and business development for broadcasters and production companies across Europe. Management members including ATS’s CEO are listed as participants in the new structure.
The new structure includes 4 members from ATS, including Danny Sanz, as well as Fukaya Shunsuke (深谷俊介) of TBS’s Global Business Division. The companies are expected to create opportunities for format sales and business development tailored to the characteristics of each European market.
