In the U.S. stock market, the Nasdaq Composite, which has a high weighting of technology stocks, rebounded for the first time in 4 trading days. CoreWeave shares also recovered from the previous day, when they had been hit in part by credit concerns, and closed 5.9% higher. Buying was supported by the CEO of NVIDIA expressing an optimistic view of CoreWeave’s financial condition.
In Japan, some AI- and semiconductor-related stocks attracted buying, with Advantest and SoftBank Group (SBG) among the gainers. Buying in Japanese stocks again prevailed after the recovery in the U.S. market.

Among individual stocks, Recruit, Konami Group and Bandai Namco Holdings were relatively firm, while Ibiden and Taiyo Yuden declined.
