Investor activity involving Ebara Jitsugyo has shifted, LINTEC announced a ¥2.5 billion investment in a new building, and GIKEN began in-house production of some consumable components.
The latest development involving a stock in focus is that the UK investment fund Nippon Active Value Fund (NAVF) has increased its stake in Ebara Jitsugyo to 12.69%, including shares held jointly. The stated purpose of the holding is to provide management advice and make important proposals, raising expectations of improved shareholder value over the medium term. Ebara Jitsugyo is described as a fabless equipment manufacturer with a strong track record, particularly in environmental equipment for sewage treatment facilities. Depending on subsequent developments, the situation could affect supply and demand for the shares and management decisions.
LINTEC will invest ¥2.5 billion in a new building at its Ina Technology Center, expanding its development area to approximately 1.5 times its previous size and its manufacturing area to approximately 1.6 times. Operations will begin in October to meet growing demand for semiconductor-related equipment. The company aims to strengthen its ability to develop new equipment and increase production capacity, with attention focused on future order trends.
