Metarial's consolidated subsidiary ロゼッタ announced that it will launch early access on 5 October 2026 to a highest-accuracy mode for its high-precision industrial translation AI T-4OO that delivers fully automated translation. The new mode automatically completes the process from source-text input through output of the finished deliverable and does not require human checking or correction of the translation. The company's new vision, “translation AI that requires no manual correction,” has been completed in approximately 10 months.
The quality standard for fully automated translation is a required correction rate for mistranslations of below 0.01%. In testing between Japanese and English, the rate improved from 19.61% for the conventional system and 1.58% for the high-accuracy mode, to 0.05% for the ultra-high-accuracy mode and 0.003% for the new mode. Alongside full automation, the system also includes an optional feature that displays only sections where mistranslations may have occurred.
The company offers its high-precision translation functions through multiple APIs and is working to improve the accuracy of its File to File function, which translates files directly, while also testing other document types. Translation AI is expected to be increasingly incorporated as a component of business systems, with users selecting modes according to their needs.
Over the medium to long term, group revenue is said to have the potential to increase by more than 10%, and the company has set a target of ¥15 billion in consolidated revenue for the fiscal year ending February 2030. The share price is currently slightly below the low ¥500s after the first-quarter results announcement, and some have pointed to a shift in the medium- to long-term strategy in response to changes in the current environment as affecting the share price.
