日本HP officially announced the HP ZBook Ultra G3a 16 inch mobile workstation. Powered by the AMD Ryzen AI MAX PRO 400 Series, it is designed to integrate local AI execution with professional application workflows.
The device supports large-scale local AI processing despite its slim, lightweight mobile chassis. It features up to the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 and up to 192 GB of unified memory, and is promoted as capable of delivering desktop-class data processing without relying on the cloud. On-device AI processing is intended to reduce inference costs and improve privacy.
The workstation weighs approximately 1.9 kg and is 18.4 mm thick, pursuing a balance of mobility and performance. According to the company, its new cooling design improves TDP by up to 81.8% and delivers performance of up to 100 W. The USB-C adapter uses GaN technology and can supply up to 180 W.
In terms of performance, the workstation is said to be capable of running LLMs with up to approximately 300 billion parameters locally by using Radeon integrated graphics, VRAM allocation, and its 55 TOPS NPU. It also supports workflows involving Autodesk Revit 2027, 3ds Max, and Chaos Enscape.
