Ame Kaze Taiyo,Inc. and the general incorporated association namikaze communities will jointly hold the “10 Million Hometown Residents Conference” to expand the fundamental value of people connected to local communities and the “Hometown Resident Registration System.” The first conference will be held in Ama Town on 15 October 2026, with approximately 100 people expected to attend. The second conference is planned for November in Iwate Prefecture, with the intention of passing the questions on to Iwate.
The conference is not intended merely to increase the number of registrants. It aims to create a society in which 10 million people engage with local communities as stakeholders. A diverse range of people, including local residents, municipalities, companies, young people, people originally from the area and people connected to local communities, will gather to reconsider from the local level the social vision represented by people connected to local communities and the Hometown Resident Registration System, as well as the “quality of relationships,” meaning the extent to which people from outside the area become involved.
