madsaunist announced that it had entered into a business partnership with VETO JAPAN, a long-established Finnish sauna-stove maker. As the first project, the design of a sauna experience combining madENGINE and VETO is expected to move forward at BASE LAYER HOTEL UNION in Nagoya.
madsaunist has entered into a business partnership with VETO JAPAN, a Finnish sauna-stove brand. The companies aim to integrate their approaches to heat sources and steam design to provide new sauna experiences at hotels and bathing facilities in Japan.
The partnership centers on combining steam design based on madENGINE with VETO's approach to heat sources. The companies will optimize heat and humidity, as well as steam and airflow, to suit the conditions of each facility, pursuing a setup that balances ease of breathing with a deep sense of warmth.
The first practical application will begin at BASE LAYER HOTEL UNION (Aichi, Nagoya) as a collaborative project using madENGINE and VETO. The installation will combine systems including the MAD air supply and exhaust system and MAD STONE, with the aim of operating without relying on löyly.
VETO is an electric sauna-stove maker founded in 1965, known for its open structure, humidification design and long-life construction. madsaunist will link this approach to heat sources with its own steam design to propose new experience designs for sauna facilities in Japan.
Going forward, the companies will pursue a three-way collaboration covering everything from heat-source selection and steam and airflow design to operational support, with a view to expanding into sento and other facilities nationwide.
madENGINE can be retrofitted to existing saunas and aims to provide a high-quality steam experience regardless of the heat source.
