ラクト・ジャパン has revised its long-term vision upward and outlined a financial strategy and shareholder return policy focused on embedding ROIC-based management and expanding growth businesses. It has also disclosed its cash flow allocation policy excluding the approximately ¥3.5 billion investment in the new Singapore plant.
ラクト・ジャパン has set out its medium- to long-term growth strategy and shareholder return measures, outlining a policy of maintaining a balanced approach across growth investment, shareholder returns, and financial soundness.
A particular feature is the introduction of ROIC as an internal management metric, with management focused on profitability at the business-unit level.
(1) As the foundation of its financial strategy, the company has indicated that, in light of increases in fixed assets and changes in business risks, it considers an equity ratio above 35% to be a stable level and is targeting around 40% over the longer term. It is also targeting ROE of 10–12% and plans to avoid excessive financial leverage.
(2) For cash flow allocation, the company plans to use core operating cash flow to fund future growth investments and shareholder returns. Of approximately ¥12.0–13.0 billion in cumulative core operating cash flow over the three-year period of the plan, approximately 60% is expected to be allocated to enhancing future growth capabilities and approximately 40% to shareholder returns.
(3) The shareholder return policy emphasizes balancing stability and growth, with a basic policy of providing ongoing, stable dividends based on a payout ratio of 35% or more as a guideline. Under the medium-term management plan NEXT-LJ 2028, the company has introduced a progressive dividend policy and aims to provide returns that are less susceptible to earnings fluctuations.
