MARUBUN CORPORATION announced the joint development and launch with Friendly Tech of Kebbi Remote, a dedicated app that enables users to control Kebbi, an AI robot supporting recreation and monitoring in care settings, from a smartphone. In care facilities, staff previously had to operate the robot directly, temporarily interrupting their work, and the app is intended to reduce this operational burden.
The app supports iOS and Android. After downloading the app and completing the connection setup, users can remotely have Kebbi run a range of programs. An internet connection is required, and the app is described as enabling instructions to be issued from a smartphone at hand, such as at a nurses' station or office.
