HU SPRING “3QUESTIONS,” a poster presentation event by doctoral students in the latter stage of their programmes at Hiroshima University, was held at Hiroshima Convention Hall from 18 to 19 September 2026. A total of 170 posters were displayed, and total attendance reached 432.
Over the 2 days of 18 and 19 September, doctoral students in the latter stage of their programmes displayed posters and introduced their research through the themes Q1, “What I am doing and why”; Q2, “What has come before and what comes next”; and Q3, “Questions for everyone.”
The posters made extensive use of diagrams and illustrations to convey the research visually, creating an informal setting where attendees from different fields could interact. Attendees were also free to post comments and questions online.
On 19 September, a workshop to promote the creation of joint research projects was held alongside the event, attracting 34 participants. It provided fellows with an opportunity to reassess their own research from a broader perspective and develop the ability to connect it with knowledge from other fields.
Interactions continued after the event through comments posted on the posters, with the expectation that they will lead to further research development and the creation of new joint research projects.
