Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. announced plans to launch Mimaki La-meccanica, a new brand of ancillary equipment used in the pre- and post-printing processes. The brand’s first offerings are the LAR-55 and LAR-63 large-format laminators for sign graphics and the SKH-2416 desktop shaker for DTF printing. The products can be used with printers from other manufacturers as well as Mimaki’s own printers, and the company expects to obtain safety standard certifications by the launch dates.
The new brand forms part of the company’s medium- to long-term growth strategy, Mimaki Innovation 30, which aims to expand into areas surrounding the printing business. The brand is intended to pursue safety and reliability in the work environment, together with ease of use, and support improved productivity and business growth.
The LAR-55/LAR-63 feature a one-touch roll-media loading mechanism and are designed to reduce the burden of operation by a single worker. They are scheduled for launch in October, with a first-year global sales target of 380 units.
The SKH-2416 features an enclosed structure that limits powder dispersion and a removable powder tank. It can also be operated without a power connection, providing greater flexibility in equipment layout. The product is scheduled for launch in November, with first-year global sales projected at 200 units.
