Advanced Media,Inc. has launched a Python client library for the “AmiVoice API” speech recognition API provided through the developer-focused voice technology platform “AmiVoice Cloud Platform.” The new library follows standard Python conventions and is available for installation with pip.
The library streamlines WebSocket connections and disconnections, message exchange with the server, and audio transmission, making it easy to integrate real-time speech recognition into apps and web services. It also explains how recorded meetings and calls can be transcribed through an asynchronous HTTP interface.
The library is released under the MIT License and is free for commercial use. Although usage fees apply separately, it is available on PyPI and GitHub and is designed for Python users. The guidance also covers the usage environment, including registration through AmiVoice Cloud Platform and a free allowance of up to 60 minutes per month.
