Nakajima Keita (中島啓太) changed his driver shaft from FI to EK. The decision to put it into testing was reportedly made because he wanted to reduce misses to the left.
Ahead of the Baycurrent Classic, Nakajima Keita (中島啓太) changed his driver shaft to the crayon-gray EK at Yokohama Country Club. After using FI for some time, he switched to the company's EK as it reached its launch period.
FI is described as retaining the characteristics of DI while increasing tip stiffness, resulting in a higher launch, whereas EK is a model designed to pursue a sense of speed and a moderate degree of draw bias, with a firm handle and suppleness from the midsection through the tip.
Nakajima Keita (中島啓太) said he decided to put EK into testing immediately because he wanted to avoid misses to the left. Although he does not like shafts that promote too much draw, he said he prefers an address angle in which he faces left and looks at the loft, meaning that he does not want excessive draw bias.
The company's tour representative values EK for adding spin while avoiding shots that leak to the right, and explained that it suits the degree of draw bias Nakajima Keita (中島啓太) is seeking. It was also reported that the fairway woods will continue to use XC.
