Hankyu Hanshin Holdings announced its FY2025 full-year results, which reached record highs across all metrics. Operating revenue was ¥1.2035 trillion, business profit was ¥128.6 billion, and the business profit margin was 10.7%. The company’s public relations team described the results as “very strong.”
By segment, urban transportation and real estate remained the core sources of revenue and profit, with the two businesses together accounting for approximately half of operating revenue and roughly 80% of business profit. Railway-related metrics were also strong, with Hankyu Railway retaining its leading position in the Kansai region by rail passenger numbers.
Under its long-term management vision for FY2030, the company has set targets of ¥160 billion in business profit and an ROE of 8%. It outlined a policy of revising fares by FY2030 and identified growth in its overseas real estate business as a key pillar. Overseas, the company plans to expand its residential property sales and logistics facilities businesses, mainly in Asia.
For shareholder returns, the company is targeting a total payout ratio of at least 50% and total returns of at least ¥250 billion over 6 years, while stating that it will continue to consider share buybacks. Large-scale projects in the Umeda area, including the redevelopment of the Shibata 1-chome Project, have also been positioned as future growth drivers.
