ハークスレイホールディングス revised its earnings forecast for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027. Revenue is unchanged from the previous forecast at ¥26.40 billion. Operating profit is expected to increase by ¥400 million from the previous forecast to ¥1.30 billion, ordinary profit by ¥700 million to ¥1.50 billion, interim net income attributable to owners of the parent by ¥500 million to ¥900 million, and consolidated interim earnings per share by ¥27.04 to ¥48.67.
First-quarter results showed that ordinary profit and quarterly net income exceeded the initial forecasts. Although the gross margin contributed to performance exceeding plan, revenue was constrained by consumers' preference for saving amid continued price increases in food-related products.
The Store Asset & Solutions Business and the Logistics, Food and Processing Business performed steadily, with each division exceeding its plan. Profit was also supported by the recognition of a ¥302 million gain on the sale of investment securities in ordinary profit.
The company will not revise its full-year earnings forecast or dividend forecast from the initial projections, citing the continuing presence of numerous uncertainties, including heightened geopolitical risks, the impact of high crude oil prices, exchange-rate trends, and the prolonged preference among consumers for saving.
