Four months have passed since Franziska Kusumano (フランツィスカ・クスマノ) became president of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus. She said she is focusing on listening to those on the ground and acting quickly to build momentum for change. She has visited major domestic customers and overseas markets including Indonesia and Australia to understand on-the-ground issues and needs.
The company is currently in the midst of a "new reality" marked by rapidly intensifying geopolitical tensions, cost pressures and technological innovation. Amid major changes including the integration with Hino Motors and the separation of the bus business, she indicated that the company will view these developments as opportunities while prioritising customers and speeding up decision-making.
Regarding the Kawasaki Plant adjacent to the headquarters, she said its importance "will grow further in the future" and indicated a policy of continuing investment in it as a core site under the ARCHION structure.
