SKY Perfect JSAT announced that it would revise upward its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, along with its year-end dividend forecast. It cited growth in operating revenue in the media business and an improvement in the operating margin from greater operating efficiency in the space business as the main reasons for the revision.
Under the revised full-year forecast, operating revenue is expected to be ¥136 billion, up ¥1 billion from the previous forecast; operating profit, ¥41.5 billion, up ¥2.5 billion, or 6.4%; ordinary profit, ¥41.5 billion, up by the same amount, or 6.4%; and net income attributable to owners of the parent, ¥29 billion, up ¥2 billion, or 7.4%. The company expects results to exceed those of the previous fiscal year.
The company said that results for the cumulative second quarter were progressing steadily and expects the media and space businesses to continue contributing. In particular, it expects greater operating efficiency in the space business to contribute to margin improvement.
Based on its dividend policy, the company expects to raise the year-end dividend by ¥4 to ¥28, bringing the annual dividend to ¥52. This would exceed the previous forecast of ¥48 and the ¥42 paid in the previous fiscal year.
