ブロードバンドタワー is participating in Ishikari DCC, while the Ishikari Shinko suburban data center site has begun operations. In addition, an overseas investor has become the company’s largest shareholder, changing its capital structure.
ブロードバンドタワー operates a data center business based in Otemachi, Tokyo, and participates in Ishikari DCC alongside companies including Sakura Internet and NTT East. Its business structure combines data centers, cloud services, storage and content delivery. In its Ishikari business, it uses a DC-in-DC model, leasing and operating data center space rather than owning its facilities.
Ishikari DCC was established in July 2026, with multiple operators, including ブロードバンドタワー, participating according to announcements by Ishikari City and NTT East. The initiative forms part of efforts to develop Hokkaido as a data center cluster.
On 14 September, the company’s first suburban data center, the Ishikari Shinko site, began operations. This is expected to expand connectivity and operating capabilities in the Ishikari area.
Foreign investors have rapidly increased their shareholdings and become the largest shareholders, with capital movements also showing developments linked to the business.
Risks cited include dependence on large projects, cancellation risk for individual contracts, component prices and delivery schedules, cyberattacks, and changes in the shareholder structure. Attention is expected to focus on trends in future contracts, operating status and the stability of operating cash flow.
