At its FY2026 first-half earnings briefing, Jingsheng Technology reported that revenue increased 30% year on year, while declines in gross margin and EPS became apparent. EPS was NT$2.32, and capital expenditure is expected to exceed NT$15 billion next year.
At its earnings briefing on 28 October, Jingsheng Technology said consolidated revenue was NT$19.3 billion, up 30.2% year on year, boosted by the consolidation of Lincstech. Gross margin, however, declined to 16% from 21% a year earlier, while net income attributable to the parent was NT$1.157 billion and EPS was NT$2.32. This resulted in a situation where revenue growth coexisted with lower profit.
Factors behind the decline in profit included higher materials costs and increased depreciation at the new Malaysian plant. Shortages of fibreglass cloth, copper foil and resin affected materials procurement, leading to successive delays in factory shipments and cost pressures. The increase in depreciation was attributed to the start-up of new equipment at the Malaysian plant.
For the fourth-quarter outlook, the company described AI-related growth as “very strong”, while indicating that demand for consumer products remained uncertain. Raising the proportion of high-end products, procuring key materials early, passing costs on to customers and improving utilisation at the Malaysian plant were identified as priorities for the second half.
Capital expenditure is planned in three stages, rising from approximately NT$6 billion in 2025 to NT$12 billion in 2026 and expected to exceed NT$15 billion in 2027. Investment will be concentrated in 3 major areas, with expansion of HLC, HDI and mSAP, while the automotive business is expected to account for the largest share following the merger.
