メンバーズ sharply downgraded its consolidated forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, two and a half years ahead, and was sold down to around ¥770, approximately ¥150 below the previous day's closing price. The decline was attributed to the planned withdrawal from low-priced projects, reduced investment due to the situation in the Middle East, and weaker demand for AI talent.
After the end of trading in late September, メンバーズ revised its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, cutting revenue from ¥26.866 billion to ¥25 billion and operating profit from ¥2.5 billion to ¥200 million. The market saw increased selling after the outlook shifted to a decline in profit.
As the company proceeds with a planned withdrawal from low-priced projects, reduced investment by some customers due to the situation in the Middle East and weaker demand for specialized talent as AI becomes more widespread weighed on results for the cumulative second quarter, April–September, which fell substantially below the previous forecast.
In the second half, the company plans to continue investing to improve profitability, focusing on switching its growth drivers from conventional web operations to the AX field. The full-year forecast was calculated conservatively, taking into account the time required for the business transformation.
Actual results for the six months ended September were below the previous forecast, with revenue falling from ¥12.593 billion to ¥11.8 billion and operating income turning from a ¥320 million profit to a ¥430 million loss.
