kubell has launched “kube-AI,” an organisational transformation project positioning generative AI as the organisation’s operating system and aiming for all employees to use AI in their daily work. Starting with a company-wide message from the CEO, kubell established an implementation structure and is using ADKAR to promote changes in awareness and practice.
kubell has adopted a policy of making AI the organisation’s operating system rather than merely a tool, aiming for all employees to be able to use AI as a partner in their daily work. As a starting point, the CEO told all employees that the company would “strongly embed the use of AI into every strategy.”
For the company-wide AI transformation project “kube-AI,” representative director and CEO Yamamoto Masaki (山本正喜) was appointed project owner. Key people from departments including human resources, information systems, security and products were brought together to build an implementation structure. AI-related information and communications were centralised, consolidating previously dispersed activities.
The essence of AI adoption is viewed as transforming organisational culture rather than introducing tools, and the company is seeking to expand adoption across departments. Using the ADKAR framework, it has prioritised measures to raise Awareness and Desire before Knowledge and Ability. The CEO has continued communicating the initiative at company-wide meetings, and interactive workshops have been held by department.
Progress is tracked company-wide and by department by combining surveys based on ADKAR and AI adoption levels with logs of actual usage, rather than relying solely on impressions. The company is promoting the transformation by making employees’ awareness and actual usage visible.
