東武ストア will implement organizational changes effective 1 September, including establishing the Store Planning Department under the Development Headquarters and reorganizing the Development and Tenant Department as the Rental Management Department. The executive officers’ responsibilities will also change, with Katagiri Masato (片桐正人) taking office as a newly appointed executive officer.
東武ストア announced on 20 August that it would change its departmental structure and executive officer assignments effective 1 September. It will establish the Store Planning Department under the Development Headquarters and reorganize the Development and Tenant Department as the Rental Management Department. This will facilitate the separation and reorganization of the Franchise Department and establish a structure under which new development operations are transferred to the Development Headquarters and management and operations to the Sales Headquarters.
In addition, executive officers’ assigned responsibilities will change in connection with the organizational changes, and Katagiri Masato (片桐正人) will take office as Deputy General Manager of the Sales Headquarters and General Manager of the Store Operations Department as a newly appointed executive officer. The positions of current executive officers Shimamura Masashi (嶋村雅史) and Ono Yasuyuki (小野靖之) are also scheduled to change.
These personnel and organizational changes are intended to enable a rapid response to changes in the retail environment, expand the business in the development field and strengthen the company’s management base.
