Sumitomo Corporation and Sakana AI have formed a partnership to expand support for the adoption of generative AI in Japan. Using the Sumitomo Corporation Group's extensive customer base, they aim to promote adoption from large companies to small and medium-sized enterprises.
Sumitomo Corporation and Sakana AI, which develops artificial intelligence (AI), have entered into a business partnership and will begin supporting the adoption of domestically developed generative AI.
The companies plan to use the Sumitomo Corporation Group's customer network of approximately 100,000 companies to provide broad-based support, from large companies to small and medium-sized enterprises, as Japan approaches a widespread adoption phase.
The partnership is expected to draw on the expertise of SCSK, a Sumitomo Corporation subsidiary, and build on its track record in supporting AI implementation.
The initiative aims to further promote the adoption of domestically developed AI, and depending on its results, future expansion and additional partnerships are likely to attract attention.
