Kirin Holdings will launch a limited-edition Japanese pear flavor in the Hyoketsu® Sugar-Free series nationwide from 17 November, with the alcohol content kept to 4%. It will be available in 350ml and 500ml cans and feature a balance of Japanese pear’s juicy fruit character and acidity.
Hyoketsu® Sugar-Free Japanese Pear ALC. 4% (Limited Edition) is a 4% RTD made without sugar or sweeteners and is scheduled to go on sale nationwide from 17 November. As a sugar-free chūhai, it offers the fruit character and clean, clear taste of the alcoholic drink.
The formulation balances the fresh fruit flavor of Japanese pear with refreshing acidity, creating a light and easy-to-drink taste at an alcohol content of 4%. Juice content is 0.3%.
The packaging uses a silver base with a light-blue sugar-free logo, while a Japanese pear-colored gradient at the top creates a light, refreshing impression. Illustrations of a can and glass convey the fruit character of Japanese pear.
The product is being newly launched in a 4% version in response to interest in the Japanese pear flavor launched in 2025, which had an alcohol content of 7%. It forms part of an initiative aimed at stimulating the sugar-free chūhai market.
