NEC Corporation will launch ProChemist/CMP, the first CMP-certified application to integrate with the CMP platform, in October 2026. The service will enable manufacturers to manage and share chemical-substance information and resource-circulation data across the entire supply chain.
NEC Corporation announced that it will launch the application service ProChemist/CMP, which integrates with the CMP platform, in October 2026. It is the first release as a CMP-certified application and adopts the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's Ouranos Ecosystem design. It also partially uses the results of an NEDO-funded project.
The service is intended to enable the appropriate management of chemical substances contained in products across the entire supply chain. As operations based on email and spreadsheets have posed challenges, the company aims to centralize information around the CMP concept, improve the reliability of data transmission and reduce the operational burden.
A feature of ProChemist/CMP is that it provides common functions covering a broad area from upstream to downstream. chemSHERPA-AI/CI can be used as the source information for transmitting existing data, and the service can also integrate with other companies' CMP applications and CMP platforms and support offline use.
The service will also be offered as an intuitive cloud service, with a dedicated help desk providing operational support. Participation in and integration with the CMP concept, which promotes the sharing of chemical-substance and resource-circulation information in manufacturing, is emphasized.
