After acquiring 60% of the Vietnamese medical device maker USM Healthcare, NISSHA decided to sell its stake after discovering inappropriate accounting. NISSHA plans to transfer 50% in mid-September and sell the remaining 10% by September 2028, thereby exiting the investment.
NISSHA announced that it would sell its 60% stake in USM Healthcare after inappropriate accounting was discovered at the company before the acquisition, determining that maintaining and enhancing the value of the group would be difficult. The acquisition was completed in May, and the total transaction value was not disclosed.
Under the specific sale plan, NISSHA will transfer all 60% of the shares it acquired to USM Healthcare's president, ending the capital relationship with USM as a NISSHA subsidiary. NISSHA plans to transfer 50% in mid-September, effectively removing USM from the NISSHA Group.
NISSHA plans to sell the remaining 10% by September 2028. The transfer price was not disclosed, and the impact on consolidated results for the fiscal year ending December 2026 is still being examined.
After inappropriate accounting was discovered at USM Healthcare, NISSHA postponed the announcement of its results for the January-June 2026 period. The schedule for future results announcements and the impact amount will continue to be monitored.
