Shimano has announced the SH-RC910 and SH-RC810 road shoes featuring its new DYNALAST 2.0 last. The design provides more forefoot space while enhancing support around the arch and heel, with the aim of improving comfort and pedaling efficiency on long rides.
DYNALAST 2.0 incorporates findings from 3D foot-shape scans, pressure-distribution mapping and biomechanical analysis. It also introduces a new toe box that improves forefoot comfort while encouraging the toes to spread naturally. Dedicated designs are available in Standard and Wide sizes, excluding Narrow, with expanded forefoot space in each version to pursue an appropriate fit.
The SH-RC910 features a carbon-fiber heel cup with anti-twist stabilization and a midsole with a carbon hollow-core structure. It is compatible with SPD-SLR pedals and offers an expanded fore-aft cleat adjustment range. Ventilation holes have also been added to improve breathability, with the design intended to provide stability and efficiency during long, high-intensity rides.
The SH-RC810 combines an external heel stabilizer with a hollow-channel structure and carries over DYNALAST 2.0. Its dual BOA Li2 dials enable fine fit adjustments, while it also supports SPD-SLR pedals, offers an expanded cleat adjustment range and has replaceable heel pads for improved durability. It is priced below the RC910 and is intended for a broad range of uses, from training to racing.
