X-SNC KATAKANA has been introduced as the second graphic model in Arai's latest X-SNC helmet series. It features a bold design incorporating Japanese katakana, along with weight reduction and comfort for street use, and compliance with SNELL/JIS standards.
Arai Helmet announced X-SNC KATAKANA (KATAKANA) as the second model in its latest high-end street helmet series, X-SNC. The model combines the high rigidity and safety performance inherited from the RX-7X with weight reduction and enhanced comfort suited to street use. The design was created by YF DESIGN, which has worked on numerous racing helmets in Japan and overseas.
The defining feature is the typography design, which places Japan's distinctive katakana lettering seamlessly around the lower part of the helmet. Gradient treatment creates a sense of speed and depth even when the helmet is stationary. Two color variations are available, GRAY and TRICO. GRAY has a restrained monochrome look, while TRICO features a red-and-blue tricolor design inspired by arteries and veins, as well as brain waves and heartbeat.
In terms of specifications, the shell uses PB-SNC² to achieve a lighter weight than the previous model. The interior comes standard with FCS interior equipment, including antibacterial, deodorizing and stain-resistant functions, and is designed to enhance comfort during long rides. The helmet complies with SNELL and JIS standards, with safety also taken into consideration. Its structure supports internal fine adjustment, and repair parts will also be offered separately.
The product is available in sizes from 54 to 61-62 and is priced at ¥90,200. Dedicated-color parts are being offered at the same time as repair and replacement parts, while options including VAS-V holders, AC ducts and SD ducts are also included in the lineup.
