Basis Corporation identified four competitive assets accumulated and strengthened through the provision of BPaaS and outlined a policy of reinforcing them in a virtuous cycle as projects expand. The four assets, field execution capabilities, a nationwide partner network, customer touchpoints and project track records, and field data assets, are positioned as sources of competitive advantage.
In its Medium-Term Management Plan 2030, Basis Corporation identified four competitive assets accumulated and strengthened through the provision of BPaaS. The company says these assets will improve in quality, reliability and profitability as they expand, creating a cycle that generates new services and project opportunities and serves as a source of competitive advantage.
The first asset is field execution capabilities, meaning the ability to carry out high-quality construction and operations nationwide and across multiple locations, developed through network operations for telecommunications carriers. The company will strengthen this asset by extending its expertise in project management, quality control, local support, operations and maintenance into the IoT field.
The second asset is its nationwide partner network. Basis Corporation has 545 Basis Partners and has established a system capable of undertaking construction, installation and maintenance nationwide on an integrated basis according to region and technology. Accumulating partner utilization and quality performance data will improve optimal allocation and evaluation accuracy, increasing the company's ability to handle large-scale projects.
The third asset is customer touchpoints and project track records. Its track record of addressing a wide range of customer issues and projects, mainly for telecommunications carriers and infrastructure operators, will expand the scope of its proposals. The company plans to propose previously unprovided services to existing customers and deploy its offerings across other industries.
The fourth asset is field data. The company will accumulate and centrally manage field, facility, quality and work data in BLAS, while advancing digitalization, standardization and AI analysis. Citing the automation of data from smart-meter replacement projects as an example, it aims to improve quality and reliability and create new services.
