The transcript of a discussion between Serendip Holdings and DAIBOUCHOU revealed 3 years of high growth, a management focus on PMI and integration initiatives that cross corporate-group barriers.
Serendip Holdings explained that over the past 3 years it had grown revenue at an annual rate of approximately 40% and maintained annual operating profit growth of approximately 80%. Its workforce has also expanded 7.5-fold, underscoring the scale of the company's growth.
The company emphasised that it places the highest priority on PMI (post-merger integration) as it pursues management reform. Unlike a market where financially driven acquisition methods are mainstream, the company says it is pursuing reform from the perspectives of management and manufacturing, on the assumption that it will be a long-distance race.
The discussion noted that thoroughly explaining matters to employees and business partners and making information visible are effective in limiting confusion. It was said that, after initial disruption, operations are now progressing smoothly.
As a difference from automotive parts manufacturers, the company said it promotes a “borderless” approach, opening new accounts and developing proposals beyond corporate-group barriers, including proposals to companies in other industries. It also emphasised a strategy of increasing added value through combinations of technologies.
