Sugi Holdings and Trial Holdings will open Sugi Pharmacy dispensing pharmacies inside two Trial stores in Fukuoka Prefecture on 1 September. The initiative is part of the comprehensive collaboration agreed in principle in January 2026 and is the first effort to operate dispensing pharmacies as tenants inside Trial stores.
Sugi Holdings and Trial Holdings will open Sugi Pharmacy dispensing pharmacies inside the Super Center Trial Sue store in Sue, Fukuoka Prefecture, and the Super Center Trial Iizuka store in Iizuka.
The initiative is part of the comprehensive collaboration agreed in principle in January 2026 and is the first effort to operate dispensing pharmacies as tenants inside Trial stores.
Through the collaboration, the companies aim to create a one-stop environment where customers can purchase daily necessities and collect prescriptions at one location by combining Sugi Pharmacy's dispensing expertise with Trial's low-cost operations and retail technology.
Sugi Pharmacy plans to reach new customer segments by leveraging Trial's ability to attract shoppers, while Trial aims to expand the functionality of its stores and strengthen customer engagement.
