A detailed look at Goldwin's 2 down models based on explanations from staff in the field. The key design concepts and details of the Crystalite Down Parka and Cloud Bulky Down Hoody are summarized.
Model 01, the Crystalite Down Parka, is an evolved version introduced in 2020 and features the Spur line, inspired by ski runs in snowy mountains. Functional details such as a down tube at the inner collar have been added, and in 2025 the model returned to the lifestyle category. It uses a reversible Vislon zipper to prevent overheating in urban settings, while baffles that bring the neck and shoulder areas together into a single compartment are designed to provide warmth while reducing bulk.
Pertex Quantum is used for the shell, and the jacket is filled with new duck down from Kawada Feather. The hand-warmer pockets are positioned along the Spur line with concealed zippers, while brushed tricot is used for the inner flap at the collar to improve the feel against the skin. The price is ¥69,300 (Goldwin).
Model 02, the Cloud Bulky Down Hoody, is designed as a midlayer and combines ultralight fabric with 1,000-fill-power goose down to deliver both light weight and high insulation. Its features include a construction in which the down is inserted directly between the fabrics and three-dimensional shaping based on 3D Box Baffle technology to reduce cold spots. A coil zipper is used at the front, and the design makes it easy to pack into a stuff sack. It is priced at ¥91,300 and is available in 3 colors: green, black and asphalt.
